  • What is the tournament waiver? Where can I get one?
    • Every player (or guardian of a player if the participant is under 18) must complete and sign a waiver. Players may complete the waiver via the online Player Registration form that is sent to coaches after a team is registered or through a Team Roster Waiver form. The Team Roster Waiver form can be found below. No player will be allowed to participate without a waiver.   
  • What if it is raining? Is there any weather policy?
    • In the case of consistent inclement weather, we will make our best efforts to post an update on and the Copa Univision app by 12:00pm the day before the event day. We will also make our best efforts to contact team coaches with updates as they become available. If an event is canceled due to inclement weather, we will explore rescheduling options and notify all registered teams. Games will be played in the event of rain but may be suspended at any time at the discretion of the Tournament Director. Games will be played as long as the field remains playable. If the event is cancelled and is not rescheduled all teams will receive a full refund within 30 days of the cancellation.  


  • Can I pay the same day of the event?
    • No, all teams must register and submit payment in advance.


  • Can I play on two different teams in the same city/event?
    • No, participants are only allowed to play for one team per event.


  • What if I want to work at the event?

  • Do we have to have a coach?
    • Yes, every youth and adult  team must have a coach.  All coaches must be over 18 years of age. In the adult Men's and adult Women’s divisions, players may not be coaches. The coach will be the main point of contact and also represent the team at check-in on the day of the event.  


  • Can I buy food or drinks at the event?
    • We encourage teams to bring their own drinking water. The tournament will make its best efforts to accommodate various food and beverage vendors.  Alcohol is not permitted on-site.


  • Can a youth player play in the adult divisions?
    • Youth players may participate in adult divisions, but must submit a signed waiver in order to play.


  • What equipment (clothing) does the team need?
    • Teams must be prepared to provide matching light & dark colored shirts for each game. Each player MUST wear shin guards.


  • Are women allowed to play in the Men's adult division?
    • ​​​​​​​Yes, women are allowed to play in ALL divisions including the Men's adult division. Female divisions are exclusively for females. There will NOT be designated co-ed divisions.


  • How many players can I have on the roster?
    • ​​​​​​​The minimum number of players is 5 and the maximum is 8.


  • Can we change our team name?
    • ​​​​​​​There are no team name changes. The Tournament Director reserves the right change a team name at their discretion. Inappropriate or offensive names will not be permitted.


  • What is the ball size? What is the field size?
    • ​​​​​​​2014 through 2007 divisions will use size 4 balls; 2006 through the adult divisions will use size 5 balls. All fields are 40 yards long by 30 yards wide (field size subject to change due to available venue space).


  • What will qualify for acceptable “proof of age”?
    • ​​​​​​​All players must provide a state photo ID, a club sanctioned player pass with birth date or birth certificate along with a picture ID.


  • How much does it cost to play in Copa Univision?
    • ​​​​​​​Registration fees are $225 for youth teams and $250 for adult teams.


  • When is the deadline to register a team?
    • ​​​​​​​Two weeks before the tournament. However, if the event sells out, registration will close early.


  • What do we get if we win?
    • Winning teams may receive a trophy and/or medals when available. The winning team in the adult division may also receive a monetary prize.


  • How many games are guaranteed?
    • ​​​​​​​The first round consist of a round robin format.  Due to forfeits, team expulsions and other situations outside of our control, Copa Univision cannot guarantee a set number of games.  However, most teams can expect to play a minimum of three matches. A predetermined amount of teams (dependent upon number of participating teams) will advance to single elimination playoffs.


  • When do we get our schedule?
    • ​​​​​​​The tournament will do its best efforts to post the schedule online at least one day prior to the event. We recommend that all participants download the Copa Univision app.


  • What are the allowable forms of payment?
    • ​​​​​​​When registering online, teams may pay via credit card or checking account.


  • What info do I need to register?
    • ​​​​​​​The following information is required:
      • Coach's name, address, birth date, phone number and email address.​​​​​​​
      • Team name, age bracket and gender.
      • Method of payment.
